Ellis Brigham wanted to create a flagship-level retail concept for its Covent Garden refurbishment, but also a format it could roll out across 20+ UK stores. We designed an outdoor-first environment that showcases technical product, tells the brand’s mountain story and supports flexible merchandising through a futureproof fixture kit for national growth plans.


A key requirement was a modular fixture suite so teams can remerchandise for seasons, categories and campaigns without new joinery. We also created a bold graphic language to communicate heritage, adventure and location in-store across large and compact footprints consistently.


The Keswick store, in a heritage building, adapts the concept for a smaller footprint and local outdoor community while retaining brand impact and premium detail.

We needed a shop fit that could handle our huge range of diverse products, whilst showcasing the features of individual items, highlighting key brands and making the shopping experience as immersive and informative as possible. What we have delivered is an exceedingly versatile display system that caters for everything we sell from carabiners to snowboards, from sleeping bags to premium ski jackets.

Working closely with Ellis Brigham, we resolved layout and services challenges on the older site and safeguarded design intent through to handover. The result, in the client’s words, is “the best looking outdoor shop in the country” for its audience.
